A message from the Halifax Mooseheads:

Public Health Officials of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island have approved the league’s plans plans for a safe return to play in the 2020-2021 regular season with games among the Halifax Mooseheads, Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and the Charlottetown Islanders. The New Brunswick Government and its Public Health Officials have delayed their return to regular activities until the situation has improved in their province.

The current restrictions put in place by the Nova Scotia Government preclude fans from attending games held in the province prior to February 8th, at which time restrictions will be reassessed moving forward.

In keeping the best interests of our players in mind, the Mooseheads have made the decision to resume action as soon as possible.

“The current situation is clearly not ideal, but it is extremely important for the development of our players, along with their health and well being, that they return to the ice to play the game they love. We are excited to be able to provide them with that opportunity,” said Mooseheads President Brian Urquhart.

“We realize that being able to cheer on the Mooseheads is very important to many people in our community. It’s very difficult for us not to be able to share in that excitement with our fans for these next two home games that fall under the restrictions up until at least February 8th. The last 10 months have been absolutely devastating for our business, but we are looking forward to when we can all be together again at Scotiabank Centre.”

The Mooseheads would like to thank our Public Health Officials for their assistance during these uncertain times.

Fans who purchased individual tickets for the November 21st and December 9th games will be automatically refunded by Ticket Atlantic. Mooseheads Season Ticket Members and 15-Game Pack Holders that purchased ticket bundles that include these games will receive further information via email in the coming days.

In partnership with the Mooseheads, we developed a safe reopening framework that is aligned with the QMJHL return to play health and safety protocols to ensure our fans can safely enjoy the 2020-21 Halifax Mooseheads season. See our safety enhancements here.

As outlined by the Province of Nova Scotia, non-medical face masks must be worn by all staff and guests, unless attendees are consuming food or beverage. https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/masks/

Our seating map for this season is designed to allow physical distancing, enable contact tracing, and support our fans' health and safety.

    • SEATS - Fans will have the option to select their seats based on the size of their group. We will require all tickets for a seating group to be purchased by one group member.

  • Entry & Exit

Getting in and out of Scotiabank Centre will be different from usual to maintain ZONES of 200 people and keep our guests safe. Here are a few other essential things you should know.

    • MASKS ARE REQUIRED – Bring your mask to the game and wear it unless consuming food and beverage. The Halifax Mooseheads Shop (located in Scotia Square Mall) has branded masks for purchase prior to puck drop. See the Province of Nova Scotia guidelines here: https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/masks/
    •  NO BAGS - Exceptions will be made for bags/purses no larger than 14” high by 14” long and 6” wide.
    •  NO RE-ENTRY – Once you have exited the facility, there is no re-entry.
    • ACCESS YOUR TICKET - Have your mobile ticket open and ready for scanning before entering the venue. You can access your ticket through your confirmation email from Ticket Atlantic on your mobile phone. Your zone door will be clearly indicated on your ticket (A-K).

  • Inside the Venue

Once you’re in the venue, there will be signage and staff to help you navigate your zone. All the fans in Scotiabank Centre will be required to stay in their assigned zone for the entire time.

    • DOORS – All seats are assigned a zone. When you purchase your tickets, you'll be assigned a zone that includes a designated entrance/exit into and out of the venue.

    • PHYSICAL DISTANCING - Within your zone, please keep 6ft apart other groups in your zone so everyone can have a safe and enjoyable game experience.

    • CONCESSIONS – In each zone, there will be a set menu of concessions offered that will be the same in all the zones. Concessions will be providing cashless payment options.

    • WASHROOMS – Zones will be assigned washrooms to minimize fans' crossover from different areas and include enhanced, continuous cleaning. The capacity limits for each washroom will be posted. An attendant will be stationed at each washrooms' entrance to ensure masks are worn, and capacity and physical distancing are maintained.
