March 10th, 2023 – Halifax, Nova Scotia – Casino Nova Scotia proudly presents a night showcasing the rainbow of talent that is Lorrie Morgan. From the darkest heartache to bright, shiny humour, Lorrie Morgan will dazzle the stage in the Schooner Showroom at Casino Nova Scotia on May 20th, 2023.
Lorrie Morgan is known for her lustrous vocal phrasing and down-to-earth believability of her torchy performances. On records such as “Picture of Me Without You” the ache is palpable, and on records like “Except for Monday” and “Go Away” Morgan shows she still knows how to kick up her heels and have fun.
Morgan is back in the studio working on a new album. It is sure to be yet another collection showcasing the rainbow of emotions that is the hallmark of Morgan’s range.
Nashville native and daughter of Country Music Hall of Fame member George Morgan, she made her debut at just 13 years old, singing “Paper Roses” at the Grand Ole Opry stage. By 16, Lorrie was creating her own records, and by the age of 24 she was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.
Morgan was signed to RCA records in 1987, and her onslaught began the following year. Her first three records Leave the Light On, Something in Red and Watch Me all became platinum records. Even her greatest hits album reached platinum.
Morgan has recorded in collaboration with her father, her former husband Keith Whitley, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Tammy Wynette, The Beach Boys, Dolly Parton, Andy Williams, the New World Philharmonic, and Pam Tillis.
Don’t miss your chance to see this breath-taking performance, live from Casino Nova Scotia.
