Info
Halifax – Casino Nova Scotia is excited to host two classic nights with one of America’s incomparable pop icon groups, The Temptations live in the Schooner Showroom on October 2 and 3.
The Temptations, who formed in Detroit in the 1960’s have been creating smash hits and classic songs for more than forty years. However it wasn’t until 1964 with Smokey Robinson’s, “The Way You Do the Things You Do” that the group became stars.
Not only are The Temptations known for their incredible singing talent but also their smooth dancing and flawless style. The Temptation Walk became a staple of American class, flair and style. Many fans consider them to be cultural heroes.
The current Temptations line up is Otis Williams, Terry Weeks, G.C. Cameron, Ron Tyson and Joe Herndon. Their smooth voices mixed together are a treat to any listener’s ears. The challenge the group says is to live in the present but to respect their past. The group’s commercial comeback began in the fall of 1998, when NBC aired the two-part miniseries Temptations, based on Williams’ book of the same name. Released about the same time, Phoenix Rising and its lead single, “Stay” brought the Temptations to a new generation. Produced by Narada Michael Walden, the album was a major success for the Temptations. As always, the group continued to tour the world. Its follow-up, 2000’s Grammy-winning Ear-Resistible, produced by Gerald Levert and Joe Little III, entered and peaked on the R&B albums charts.
