Halifax, NS) – Due to overwhelming demand for tickets, the Tegan and Sara show scheduled for Wednesday, January 27 at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium in Halifax has moved to the Metro Centre Theatre. Tegan and Sara are performing in support of their recently released album Sainthood (Sire Records) with special guest An Horse.
"We were very excited to hear our Halifax show sold out so fast,” says Tegan Quin. “We’ve been working very hard to ensure that no Tegan and Sara fan will be left out in the cold on our Canadian tour this January (and it will be cold!). So, we're moving on up! Come join us at The Metro Centre Theatre, where everyone will fit! It’s the last show of our Canadian tour!"
Current orchestra level ticket holders (non-balcony) will be given the equivalent seat on the Metro Centre Theatre floor. The orchestra level of the Rebecca Cohn will be built on the Metro Centre Theatre floor so those tickets will be honoured without exchange. Balcony ticket holders must exchange their tickets at the Ticket Atlantic box office in the Metro Centre, by phone at 451-1221 or by mail. Balcony ticket holders will be offered priority seating in the lower bowl. Exchanges begin Saturday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. and will be accepted until Monday, Jan. 4 at 5 p.m. For a seating map of the Metro Centre Theatre, visit: www.sonicconcerts.com. Refunds will be available at the Dalhousie Arts Centre box office between Thursday, Nov. 12 and Friday, Nov. 27.

Info
Sainthood, Tegan and Sara’s sixth release, was recorded at Sound City in Los Angeles and Two Sticks in Seattle. The album’s 13 tracks were produced by Chris Walla (Death Cab for Cutie) and Howard Redekopp (The New Pornographers, Two Hours Traffic) and mixed by Dave Sardy (Oasis, Primal Scream, Marilyn Manson). The album, named after a Leonard Cohen lyric, addresses secular themes of devotion, delusion, and exemplary behaviour in the pursuit of love and relationships.
Since their debut in 1999 with Under Feet Like Ours, twins Tegan and Sara Quin have released five albums, including The Business of Art (2000), If It Was You (2002), So Jealous (2004) and The Con (2007) and received three JUNO Award nominations, including 2007 and 2005 Alternative Album of the Year and 2006 Music DVD of the Year. They have toured with Neil Young, The Pretenders, Ryan Adams The Killers and Death Cab for Cutie and performed at major international festivals, including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits.
Tegan and Sara have also recently completed their first ever set of books, titled “ON, IN, AT.” The three-book set chronicles different time periods in writing and photographs from the past year of Tegan and Sara's lives: their 2008 US national tour, their 2009 Australian tour, and a joint writing session in New Orleans.
