Halifax – Popular East Coast trio, Shaye comes to Casino Nova Scotia as part of their Atlantic Canada tour promoting the release of their latest CD, Lake of Fire. The trio performs at Casino Nova Scotia for two nights – Friday, August 3rd and Saturday, August 4th. Released in February 2007, Lake of Fire is the follow-up album to their debut album The Bridge, which was released in 2003. Their first hit off the new album is the title track, Lake of Fire . The album expresses how each artist has grown musically and how the trio has blossomed, as they co-wrote the majority of the songs on the album along with producer Jay Joyce. Like their debut album, Lake of Fire is rich with their signature harmonies and hook laden melodies. Their voices sound gorgeous together, whether harmonizing or taking the lead - Damhnait’s with its sexy rock quality; Kim's with its raspy, country feel, and Tara's pure folk-like ring. With their phenomenal vocal blend and on stage personalities, Shaye has enthralled audiences from coast-to-coast becoming known as one of Canada’s best live musical performances - with emotional songs mixed with ad-libbed witty commentaries about their lives, music and travels. Shaye is Kim Stockwood, Damhnait Doyle and Tara MacLean. All three artists hail from the East Coast. Kim Stockwood and Damhnait Doyle are originally from Newfoundland and Tara MacLean is from Prince Edward Island . The trio is now based out of Toronto . They are each recognized as being one of Canada's most talented singers and songwriters.
