DRUM! features and unites the rhythms of the four cultures of Atlantic Canada – Aboriginal, Black, Celtic, and Acadian - in a heart pumping spectacle of sounds and beats, dance, video, costume, and music. In a specially designed theatre space on the Halifax waterfront at Pier 20, DRUM! will begin its fourth season in September. DRUM! is not just a musical event. From the moment of the first strains of sounds until leaving the theatre space, the audience is enveloped in the enchanting, inspirational surroundings of DRUM!. The four cultures found themselves so intrinsically entwined; the Aboriginal culture been placed at the heart of a performance celebrating their own uniqueness and combining with others to perform as one.
