Info
The Halifax Metro Chapter of the Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia (BIANS) is holding a fundraising concert with performances by performers Clary Croft & George Hèbert.
Renowned folk performer Clary Croft has performed on various national CBC radio and television programs and toured Canada with The Privateers and for five years performed with the Musical house band of CBC’s “Sing-a-long-Jubilee.”
George Hèbert is a well known musician who has delighted audiences as he toured for years with Anne Murray and later with Ian Tyson’s Great Speckled Bird, returning to Halifax to perform on CBC shows such as Denny’s Show and The John Allan Cameron Show.
The concert is to raise funds for the Halifax Chapter of BIANS.
“Peer support for brain injury survivors is crucial because they have a sense of community and it lessens the feelings of isolation, says Margo Dauphinee, Executive Director BIANS. “The Inroads Program is a community based program for survivors of brain injury directed by survivors delivered mainly through the individual chapters. The organizing of this fundraising event is another example of survivors getting together to help provide a service for other survivors building on this sense of community”.
